What are some external programs outside of my school that I can participate or do to help break into a role in Private Equity Commercial Real Estate?

To add onto this I'm planning to get my real estate license (MA), and I have a spot at a firm will this help my chances for internship positions?

Hey Jaylyn! You’re already making great moves by getting your real estate license and securing a spot at a firm, those are strong steps that show initiative and drive. Outside of school, you can join programs like ULI (Urban Land Institute) or NAIOP, which offer networking, mentorship, and student memberships that connect you directly to professionals in commercial real estate. Consider online certifications or workshops in financial modeling and real estate underwriting through platforms like REFM, Wall Street Prep, or Coursera. Attending industry conferences, speaker panels, or case competitions also helps you build your knowledge and stand out to recruiters. Keep building real-world experience and connections, good luck!
