How many scholarship can I get if I haven't taken the act's or sat's?

I am interested in starting by getting my associates in nursing then possibly my bachelors. Scholarships and financial-aid will be needed if I want to succeed in college.

Hello, Taylor !

It is so awesome that you will begin doing research for grants and scholarships to plan for your Nursing education ! That's wonderful !

Well, the way that grants and scholarships work is an application process. Once the donors receive your application, they review it and select the applicants to award the scholarship or grants to. This is why it would be impossible for anyone to be accurate in informing you of "how many" scholarships any student would receive. It's a process in the future based on evaluation and a choice by the people offering the grant or scholarship.

The GPA or test scores may or may not be part be part of some scholarship guidelines. Some may not require knowing your GPA. GPA and SAT/ACT score from high school is needed for college admissions and all colleges have different GPA and test score requirements. Take the ACT or SAT in your Junior or Senior year in high school. It's great that you're focused on grants and scholarships so now is a good time to become familiar with the actual ones you can apply to. It's a lot of work, exciting and the more you apply for, the more you will increase your chances of getting some. It is worth taking the time to apply for all that you qualify for.

When you go to scholarship and student grant websites, you will see that the name of the scholarship or grant and the description and qualifications and amount are indicated in the information. So it's a matter of going to the websites, reading the scholarships and applying to the ones that you qualify for.

You can start out by reading the ones at Fastweb, College Board Scholarship Search, Scholarship America, Scholarships, Sallie Scholarships. Those are the names of the websites you can find by doing a search online. Specifically for Nursing Scholarships, the websites are HRSA's Nurse Corps Scholarship Program, The American Association of Colleges of Nursing which offers scholarships and financial aid that you can apply for, The website Bold also has Nursing Scholarships listed, too. Nurse Journal Nursing Scholarships and Grants also offers information about scholarships and grants that you can apply for.

Your State of Nevada also offers the Silver State Opportunity Grant, Millennium Scholarship, Tuition+, Nevada Promise Scholarship if you attend NSHE Community College. Many large medical and pharmaceutical companies offer grants or scholarships for students in the health care field. Go to some company websites to research which companies offer them. Try Tylenol's Tylenol Future Care Scholarship, Scholarships 360's Caretakers on the Climb scholarship, the Health Resources and Services Administration and Nursing Corps Scholarship Program and the Incredible Health website. You can find these by doing a search online. Also check with your college for any scholarships they offer. Remember to apply for many so that your chances increase in getting some.

Visit your Financial Aid office at the college and get the details about Federal Student Financial Aid. I hope this helps to start you off and I wish you all the best !
