As a healthcare worker, I wish I had added a business minor to my biology degree. Many parts of your personal and professional life need basic business skills, like personal finance, salary talks, and starting your own business. A business minor could strengthen your education and open up future opportunities.

However, college is also a time to explore what you love. In your first year, dive into subjects that interest you and see what you enjoy learning about. When we like a subject, it's easier to work hard and do well. Some areas, like public health or psychology, go well with nursing. Learning a second language, like Spanish, can also be useful.
