Great question! College funding can come from different sources and college experiences can all look different! One big thing to consider is how much debt you are willing and able to pay to go to college. Personally, I funded college myself, I have a Master's Degree. A couple things I did to lessen the burden of students loans.

1. Applied for scholarships and grants
2. Attend my state's college to recieve residency discounts
3. Attended school part-time for both degrees and worked full-time
4. Worked for companies that paid some or all my college bills (Example Starbucks)
5. Researched the most cost effective options for a Masters

I used to work since I was 14 as a "volunteer", when I was 17 I was already working informally as a receptionist and that gave me the chance to get a job at a bank as soon as I turned 18, after this I've been escalating positions both in the bank and now in the corporate environment. My advice in summary would be working in jobs that are somehow related to your career or that can give you "general" experience in popular fields.

Hey McKenzie! Here are a few things I did to save money while in college, besides using scholarships, loans, and grants:

1. Stay at home if you can while going to college. It really saved me a lot since I didn't have to pay for housing or out-of-state tuition, and it helped with food costs too.
2. Consider getting a part-time job. I worked a few part-time jobs during college, and some even matched what I was studying. It also boosted my resume when I was looking for a job later.

Good luck!
