How should I find resources and opportunities as a college student going into the accounting, specifically in the tax practice, and from a underserved background?

Below are my suggestions :
1. Choose Tax related courses in the college
2. Explore any intern opportunities working in the large accounting firms with specialization in Tax
3. Check the professional requirements to obtain the Chartered Accountant qualification. Prepare for the examination early.
4. Discuss with professors, alumni, etc. on the future development of being Tax Manager.

Education wise you can learn using the Youtube or using other short courses that are available in education platforms like Coursera, Udemy etc. For practical exposure you can move to a city and join a firm as an intern where you can learn a lot of things
