What specific strategies, employer types, or short-term projects would you focus on over the next 30 days to land a U.S. job that will sponsor?

I’m finishing my STEM OPT year after an M.S. in Advanced & Intelligent Manufacturing (lots of additive-manufacturing R&D and defect-mitigation work). I’ve spent six months applying for mechanical / manufacturing roles but the H-1B sponsorship requirement keeps stalling my search.

Check the job description for a note about whether the role offers sponsorship. This will help you decide which companies and positions to apply to.

Apply for jobs that will consider a newly graduate with Practical Training. Your project results will convince the employer for the future long term contract.
