Hi Alexa ! Having been a nurse myself I must say that the Pros of being a Nurse can be totally dependent on what your personality is. If you are a person who looks at Nursing as just a job which pays good and gives you good benefit's , it might turn out to be very tiring and take a toll on you. if you are person who feel compassion for the helpless and the sick ,then you will find it very rewarding no matter how tiring each day's work is. You will come home satisfied that you did what you knew to do at the right time to save a persons life.
The cons won't matter and might be a bit too overwhelming if you don't look at them as challenges that you are up to put up with and overcome.
My point is Nursing is a challenging job and requires resilience just as much as you need a compassionate and understanding heart.
Besides these personal views of mine . It gives Job security as Nurses are always in demand. There are a variety of specialized fields you can pick from. There is always the opportunity for growth and to climb the career ladder.
Some cons are that it can be very emotionally, physically and mentally challenging . Also affect your social life with the shifts you will have to do.
But if given a choice I will not change a thing and will stick to Nursing and the adrenaline rush that comes with it.
Wish you all the best Alexa. Hope you make the right choice for life.
