What was the nursing program like at your school?
What was the Hardest part about the nursing program you were a part of? And what would be your recommendations for me as a Senior in high school going into her freshman year in college?

After high school, I went straight to university to earn my BSN at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The first year was mostly about taking prerequisite classes, and the second year continued with those but also introduced some nursing courses. The last two years focused entirely on nursing. I wasn’t ready for all the reading, writing, memorizing, and studying. I had to learn to focus on the most important assignments and readings, manage my time well, and make sure to have some free time for fun and mental health. I discovered a lot about nursing and myself. When things got overwhelming, I learned to concentrate on the present instead of worrying about future tasks. Taking it one step at a time really helped.
If you have any time off before starting school, enjoy it! Relax and do what you love, because school will keep you busy. But don’t worry, it goes by fast, and before you know it, you’ll have graduated. Good luck!
