What are the major highschool subjects that contribute to medical school admission and possibly syllabus?

I'm and have always been passionate about biology but in Norway, they require physics which was rather weird at first. I've researched on many different university requirements and some need biology and not physics. I may not continue med school in Norway since they study in Norwegian and having been here only a year, I've seen the language effects on my grades so far especially orally. I'm requesting for any med expert to help me choose. I can only choose two among physics, biology and chemistry, no exceptions. I've been thinking of placing aside the passion of biology just in case I don't have a choice but to stay in Norway for university.

Hello. It's always difficult to pick a study path. I would suggest you speak to a counselor at the college your considering. But, first and foremost, where are you going to attend? I would make that decision first. Are you going to stay where you are and struggle thru with the language barrier or go to a school from your home country? That should be a first decision. Good luck.
Thank you comment icon Thank you very much. I'd say I'm moving to an IB course and considering English universities in Europe while still keeping my options open in Norway Sue

I think you need to speak with someone from Norway. In the United States, I was required to take Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics and I believe Calculus. It's hard to advise because you would need to know where you go to medical school. The safest solution is to take all the classes so you can go wherever you want.

You may not need to take all of these science courses during high school, but you will need them in college, and it may be easier to succeed at those college classes if you have some education about them during high school. I certainly found my college science classes easier than some of my classmates because I had taken them in high school.
You do need to get good enough grades that you can go to a solid college - and then in college you need to have superb grades to get into medical school (at least in the U.S.).
Norway has excellent healthcare, and usually education is less expensive in Europe than in the U.S., so that may play into your thinking.
