how to manage school and work while feeling burnt out as a university student?

I'm a university student who's working and going to school full time. I feel super burnt out and it's affecting my academic performance and no matter what I do I can't see to get out of this feeling. Any tips?

When you're balancing school and work, burnout can happen, but with good time management, self-care, and support, you can start to feel better.

First, it's really important to acknowledge that it's ok to feel overwhelmed. Burnout happens when we try to do too much without enough rest, so don't be too hard on yourself. You need to recognize that you're doing your best, but you might need to make some adjustments. One thing you can try is talking to your boss about your workload. If you can, try to reduce your work hours or change your schedule, at least for a little while, so you can focus more on school. Employers often understand when students need some flexibility, especially if you explain how overwhelmed you're feeling.

Next, time management is important. It's helpful to write down everything you need to do, both for school and work. Once you have a clear list, prioritize your tasks based on which ones are due soonest or are most important. Remember, it's important to be realistic about what you can get done each day, so you don't over-promise or set yourself up for more stress.

Taking care of yourself is also really important when you're feeling burnt out. Even though it might feel like you have no time, try to get enough sleep and eat healthy meals. Taking care of your body will help you feel better and have more energy to handle everything.

Also, don't forget to ask for help. If you're feeling overwhelmed, you can talk to someone you trust, like a friend, family member, or even a counselor. Sometimes just talking about your stress can help you feel better. Most universities also offer counseling or support services that can give you advice and help you cope.

Since sometimes our responsibilities may take over most of the time, I find it best to appreciate the little things in a day. Taking 5 minutes to yourself while enjoying a coffee, going on brisk walking breaks, dedicating time throughout the week to see your friends and family. By talking with others you will see you are not the only one pushing yourself, and that leaning on each other for advice and support is crucial

Thank you for your question. This question is related to your time management. Firstly, you need to find a time management to help, eg Google calendar, ms outlook, phone calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the time you need to attend classes
2. Assign some time every day on your assignment, projects, etc and review the material covered in the class
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep and do some exercise
4. On weekends, allocate some time for your leisure and friends & family gathering
5. You may need to put more time for revision before assessment
You don't need to fill up your schedule completely. Leave some time to relax.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!
