How do you navigate an Architecture major, and finding a job after graduation?

For current architects and firm owners, what is the largest piece of advice you would give to those going to school for architecture? Specifically advice on finding a job after college.

Hi Nicolas!
My biggest advice in finding a job after school is to GET AN INTERNSHIP WHILE IN SCHOOL, NETWORK & ATTEND CAREER FAIRS.

Additional advice: Make a LinkedIn profile, make connections (make friends and ask where they work), shake hands, give physical copies of your portfolio or QR codes to your portfolio website at career fairs. Be ready to talk about your groupwork experiences. Be ready to talk about your strengths and weaknesses. Practice interview questions (you can google these). Dress professionally. Don't be afraid to email your resume to architecture firms you like to ask for any entry level positions available, even if they aren't explicitly hiring. Learn Autocad, BIM modeling (Revit), and adobe programs like photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign. Learn rendering softwares like Enscape, Lumion, or Twinmotion.
