Hello Danjing! Your inquiry has gone through my weekly mail. Such a creative career you are thinking of getting. Start small. One of my cousins (male), by the way, I live in the South Balkans (Albania) has begun his career as a male designer when he was young. His family owns a sewing machine, and since he was a child, he was curious about how to use that machine. Hence, you must be very attentive to details. Whether it’s researching a role, applying for an internship, or practicing a skill, each action adds up. Progress is built from consistent steps. My expertise is in finance, so I would say better to be an entertainment accountant. Remember, every professional started where you are now—uncertain but curious. The fact that you’re asking questions already shows initiative. Keep asking questions.
May the blessing follow you always.

It’s great that you’re thinking ahead about a career in fashion design. To prepare for college programs in this field, you should take online courses in fashion design on Coursera or other credible learning platforms to build your skills and gain a clear sense of what to expect in college. Colleges usually ask for a portfolio that demonstrates your creativity and abilities. Your portfolio can include hand-drawn sketches and digital designs, photos of garments you have made or modified, mood boards, color palettes, style experiments, and relevant school projects such as art or textiles. Working on small projects early is a great way to highlight your creativity, commitment, and passion for fashion.
