What major is the easiest and most optimal to take if I desire to become a pediatrician?

Hi, my name is Sumher and I am in 11th grade. My favorite subjects was always science especially Anatomy and Physiology because I am passionate about learning about the human body. I like to sing, bake, volunteer at the hospital, and do science quizzes on youtube.

This is your timeline:
4 years high school
4 years college
4 years medical school
3 years internship/residency

I don't believe there's an "easiest" major. Just major in something that you can do well and that interests you. Pediatrics is not competitive so your goal is just to get into medical school and finish. Pediatricians are one of the nicest, sweetest people. Unfortunately, they are not compensated well so it's easier to get into a pediatric residency.

In college, you will need to have a high GPA, high MCAT scores and if you can accomplish these, then you can add other items such as volunteering, research, etc. What I recommend any person interested in medicine is to work as a medical scribe because it will make medical school easier. You get experience learning the language of medicine, you interact with doctors, you see what they do and how they deal with patients on a daily basis.

Good luck!

You can major in anything you enjoy and have interest in. Since you already enjoy anatomy and physiology, I would suggest Biology (which was my major). To get into medical school you will need excellent grades, so take all the required courses, but take things that allow you to learn about varied subjects that will broaden your mind. I enjoyed classes in theater, music, anthropology, geology, psychology... And do assure that you care for yourself with good nutrition, sleep, and exercise.
