How to apply for scholarships ?

I am 17 year old FSC student interested in studying MBBS in South Korea or Japan. I don't know where to start Can someone guide me on take admissions, scholarships, and guide me the process where to start?

Thank you comment icon To study MBBS in South Korea or Japan on a scholarship, you must start with the GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) or the MEXT Scholarship. These fully-funded programs cover tuition, flights, and a monthly stipend, but they are highly competitive and require top-tier FSC grades. Begin by researching the specific university track or embassy track for these scholarships. Since MBBS is taught in the local language, expect a mandatory year of intensive language preparatory courses. Your application must include a compelling "Statement of Purpose" and strong recommendation letters. Early preparation is vital; focus on maintaining a high GPA and participating in extracurriculars to stand out. Clarence

Hi Muskan! t From my own experience, the key is to treat it like a project where you research, organize, and then take action step by step. First, start by identifying the specific universities in South Korea and Japan that offer MBBS programs taught in English (or in the local language if you're willing to learn it), and then go directly to their official websites to look at admission requirements, deadlines, and scholarship pages. For South Korea, look into the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP/GKS), and for Japan, check out the MEXT Scholarship, both are fully funded and specifically designed for international students like you. I found in my own journey that stacking credentials and showing initiative made a huge difference, so while you're still in FSC, focus on keeping your grades as high as possible, start studying for any required entrance exams, and pick up extracurriculars like volunteering at clinics or hospitals to show your passion for medicine. I also learned that continuous learning outside of school really helps you stand out, so consider taking free online courses in biology or healthcare on platforms like Coursera or Khan Academy and listing them on your applications to show you go above and beyond. When it comes to the actual application, you'll generally need your academic transcripts, a personal statement or essay explaining why you want to study medicine and why that country, letters of recommendation from teachers, and sometimes language proficiency scores like TOPIK for Korean or JLPT for Japanese. Start a spreadsheet right now listing every scholarship and university you're interested in along with their deadlines, required documents, and links so nothing slips through the cracks. Also don't sleep on networking, join Facebook groups, Reddit communities, and forums where Pakistani students who've gone to South Korea or Japan share their experiences because they'll give you the most practical, real-world advice on what worked for them. You have a great head start, just begin now, stay organized, and apply to as many scholarships as you qualify for!
