How do you find balance between academics and social life and how can building those habits in college help you in being successful in life post-graduation ?

I'm currently a senior in high school about to enter my first year in a 4-year university and I was hoping to gain some tips on how to maintain balance because I want to succeed academically, however, I still want to make sure I'm allowing myself to have fun and thrive outside of school.

Even though it's been a while since I was in school, I still cherish those memories. Besides focusing on your studies, making connections is really important. You can find lots of opportunities on campus through social activities and clubs to meet new friends and get involved. Try joining some clubs, but not too many, so you have time to relax and recharge from busy weekends or late-night study sessions.

Exercise is also key. Whether it's walking a bit more by parking farther away or joining a sports team, staying active helps with stress and improves sleep. My biggest advice is to get involved in a sport or regular exercise routine with friends. Also, join a club that interests you outside of your studies for a fun social outlet.

Aim to do something outside your dorm or apartment at least two or three nights a week, unless you need to study. This helps you maintain a healthy balance of exercise and social life, leaving weekends for family, laundry, or other activities. Starting these habits young can lead to a healthy lifestyle as an adult.
