1. Managers: Ensuring Team Efficiency
Managers and coaches take care of:
- Scheduling games, practices, and travel
- Communicating with leagues, referees, and schools
- Organizing equipment and uniforms
- Managing team rosters and player eligibility
- Handling paperwork and logistics
2. Coaching Staff: Enhancing Performance
Coaches concentrate on:
- Developing tactics and strategies
- Improving skills
- Building team chemistry and leadership
- Making game decisions and creating training plans
3. Medical & Performance Staff: Safeguarding Athletes
This is where your interest aligns well. Athletic trainers and sports medicine staff are essential because:
- Athletes can get injured
- Returning too soon can end careers
- Prevention is as important as rehabilitation

Hi Jilian,
Managers plan and guide the team, staff do the work to make it happen. Kinda like school—teachers plan the lessons, students do the work

Teams have managers and staff so everyone has a clear role. Managers plan, lead, and make decisions, while staff (like athletic trainers and team doctors) use their specialized skills to support the athletes and carry out those plans.
In sports, this structure helps teams stay organized, perform well, and keep players healthy, especially for careers like athletic training or sports medicine.
