I think the best experience in medicine is working as a medical scribe. Unfortunately with IA, these jobs will probably be extinct. This job puts you in the room with the doctor and patient. You actually see what a doctor does, the type of patients they deal with, the medical language, etc. If you can still get this type of job, I would do it. You may discover that this job is not for you and you just saved yourself a lot of time. I challenge every scribe to start work when the doctor starts work and leave when the doctor leaves and not when you finish your shift. This is your glimpse of what a doctor's life will be like.
