Hello. Could it be that the type of jobs you've applied for require some type of experience or training? Perhaps getting certified in phlebotomy would be a great help. You would gain a wealth of information about the medical field and be performing a vital function. Even patient registration could be beneficial as a first step.

I think the best way you might gain some clinical experience during college is to work on getting an EMT-1 certification. You could also consider medical assistant, ED Tech, or phlebotomy, if you can find courses for these without getting in the way of your number one priority - to get excellent grades to give you a good chance at getting into medical school. Don't worry too much, most people in medical school have not had any clinical experience. One other idea is to speak with physicians in outpatient clinics. They may be more open to allowing you shadowing opportunities than hospitals (as the latter are under tight regulatory supervision).
