Great question Eliam. All your passions can be accommodated at one time or another during your lifetime as long as you have a plan and are committed to it with significant levels of discipline.

For Architecture and soccer, you have 2 passions that are not directly related to each other so you will have to work to balance their contrast while enjoying them both. It's like an artist who uses contrasting colors in their art instead of harmonious colors to create a unique combination between unrelated concepts.

So it's an art that you must master. I suggest you specify the days you do sports (soccer), and this schedule should be dependent on your architecture course schedule. The reason is that you can advance in sports by playing (and playing is fun; if you fail once, you can keep moving forward). However, in architecture, you typically progress by earning good grades (and failure is more detrimental to your progress than it is in soccer). This requires daily discipline.

So let the more demanding passion be the basis for scheduling the flexible one. It's like a soccer goal post system: the metal poles are rigid and provide stability, while the net is flexible and stops the ball from flying away after a goal is scored. It's a system.

Set up your system and enjoy it with consistency and discipline. Wish you all the very best.

Studying architecture takes a lot of time and energy, but playing a sport can really help you relax and stay focused. When I was studying architecture, I played five-a-side soccer, and it made a big difference. Sure, there will be times when you need to focus entirely on meeting studio deadlines, but it's definitely possible to find a balance. Playing a sport actually helps you manage your time better, and I strongly encourage you to stay active while studying. Try to use the university facilities so you can keep everything on campus and save time while combining both interests.

You can definitely balance your sport of choice and architecture. It will really all come down to discipline. You'll need to be very disciplined with your time. For example, you may need a strict study schedule that you follow consistently. If soccer practice/game is at X time period, then studying will need to be at Y time period. While this rigidity may not always be fun (you may miss out on unplanned times with friends or other "downtime" activities), it will be worth it if both soccer and architecture are your passions. Remember, you can do anything you put your mind to.
