what subjects should I be good at 8th grade starting year ?
I I'm a 7th grader and I'm gonna be 8th grade in 2026-2027, And since, I'm gonna be in 8th grader, I wanna plan my future already to get a head start. It's gonna be the end of the school as a 7th grader, I wanna know like, what to study or focus on, and I really planning to study or prepare for 8th grader, So won't fail. I know this is a long path, and have to think about it. I can't really decide what to start from? or how to prepare for this basic concept. Also, my goals are to study hard in 8th grade and not miss out!

In the 8th grade, you're still building the foundation of your education - which includes all subjects. While it feels like you'll never need to use trigonometry in the real world, there are still principles you learn from that subject that will be useful in the future (e.g., how do I approach questions similar to this, how do I learn something that isn't interesting to me, etc.)
So I have to agree with the other answers, continue to try your best in all the subjects you're taking. If you're planning to go to college / university, you will want to have a strong GPA - and the thing about GPAs is that they are cumulative of all subjects!
Good luck!

Pay attention to what you really enjoy learning. Think about the subjects that excite you the most. This will be useful when you get to high school, where you'll have more choices in what classes to take.
No pressure! You may find you like many subjects, which is excellent! Just focus on enjoying yourself, and you will likely find that education is more exciting and intriguing!

Eighth grade is really just a continuation of 7th grade. There are , I think, two different approaches to what to study. You can study what you are already good at, with hopes of becoming so good you really stand out. That's the approach I took when studying for a promotional exam, and, I beat everyone else by 20 points! Or, you can study what you are weak at, with hopes of becoming a much more well-rounded individual. I think at your grade level, that is the option I would choose. It would help prepare you for the SAT/ACT exams down the road.
That being said, I would also spend some time enjoying summer! The brain needs a vacation every now and then. As for study material, I think you should be able to find it on-line.
hope this helps!

As you step into 8th grade, focus on the subjects that you really enjoy. This will also help in building your area of interest as you step into High School. If you are finding anything a little challenging approach your teachers and seek their help. Don't get pressurized.

As you enter high school you will need to be sure to focus on your grades as this is the start of your grade point average, gpa, which will help you to get scholarships and into college, if that is the career path you choose. Join clubs or sports that you enjoy as these help you meet other students with these same interests and also helps boost your college entrance questionnaires.
You are in a great place by thinking about about your future at such a young age, and your future career possibilities are endless. Keep up the great work!!

Another important piece of advice is to figure out how you learn best. This is called your learning style. For example, some students are visual learners and understand things better by seeing pictures, charts, or examples. Some are auditory learners and learn best by listening to teachers explain ideas or by talking things out. Others are hands-on learners and understand more by doing activities, experiments, or practice problems. Some students are also reading and writing learners, which means they learn best by taking notes, reading directions, and writing things down.
When you know how you learn best, school can feel easier and less stressful. Learning how to learn is a skill that will help you now and in high school too.
