What advice do you have for attending a conference?
I'm attending a media & entertainment conference this upcoming summer. It will be my second time attending this conference, and I think I did okay last time. I even made business cards, but they seemed pretty outdated since people mainly shared their LinkedIn profiles. I'm not looking for work right now; this is more of a learning/networking experience for me. So, outside of dressing professionally and learning to network, what advice do you have for preparing for a conference, and what should I do during it?

How should I start preparing for college?
Following my previous question, I would like to know how I can prepare for college. I am a third-year high school student who is indeed outside the loop of college preparation. I am wondering how I can plan ahead and what I can do to make it easier for me to apply to colleges. What are the things I need when applying to colleges and what do I have to accomplish this year and next year before I graduate? I come from a second generation immigrated family, so least to say, nobody in my family knew what is required during the transition from high school to college. My older brother, who is four years older than me, struggled during his high school years because nobody had told him that he had to take the SATs! Please let me know how I can prepare for college so that my advancement to college is much easier for me. #college #high-school #sat #preparation #college-readiness

What should you be prepared for as a freelance artist fresh out of college?
This could apply to architecture, fine arts, graphic design, or anything similar. I know at this point in my life that I wish to do something with art. What originally discouraged me from making this decision was the "starving artist" trope. Many people assume that artists can't make a living when they obviously can. However, I do understand that, along with any other profession, there may be some initial difficulty actually finding a job. As an artist, what other kinds of situations should one prepare themselves for? #art #artist #fine-art #graphic-designer #preparation
