Is AI silently ending human creativity?

Artificial Intelligence is growing rapidly every year. Today, I learned artificial intelligence could create HTML code to handle the front-end part of a website; way better than I ever could writing the code myself. This compels me that AI is the end of human creativity, because it produces tasks with superb quality without having to use critical thinking or creativity. I wanted to become a software developer, but now I feel I need to change careers because AI practically took my job.

What is a job in the tech industry you feel AI couldn't conquer and take place over people?

That's a great question, and you're right to think strategically about it! The tech jobs that are most likely to thrive with AI are those that blend technical skills with human judgment and responsibility, rather than just doing tasks. Looking ahead to 2025-2026, here are some promising fields:

Cybersecurity is in high demand because AI increases the risk of attacks, and people are needed to evaluate threats and make quick decisions.

Solutions architecture and distributed systems are important because companies need experts to design complex cloud and AI systems, not just write code.

AI governance, risk, and compliance are rapidly growing areas as organizations need people to manage issues like bias, transparency, and regulations.

Product management, especially in AI, is crucial as it involves deciding what to build, why, and understanding the trade-offs involved.

Data center and AI infrastructure roles are expanding due to the need for physical computing power, not just software.

UX research remains important because understanding people, trust, and user experience requires a human touch.

Though things can change, a smart approach is to focus on roles that involve complex systems, influencing others, and making decisions. These roles typically outperform jobs that are just about executing tasks, as AI can assist with tasks but can't replace human judgment. So, strong communication, understanding of business, and working well with others are just as important as technical skills.

Marchonie recommends the following next steps:

Pick one of these lanes and build a skill stack around it, for example cybersecurity + cloud, architecture + distributed systems, or product + AI literacy.
