It sounds like you have a good sense of what you enjoy—working hard with your hands and being physically active—and bricklaying is definitely a trade that fits that well. If bricklaying is your passion, I’d say go for it and really aim to become excellent at it. Once you start working in bricklaying, you’ll naturally get exposed to other related trades and skills in the construction field, which can open up more options for you down the line. This will give you a chance to either keep exploring new trades you find interesting or to focus and specialize more deeply in bricklaying.

One thing to keep in mind is that while you’re young and strong now, working physically demanding jobs can become harder as you get older—your body might not be able to handle the same amount of hard physical work over time. So, it’s a smart idea to also develop another skill or trade alongside bricklaying that’s less physically demanding. That way, if you ever need to shift gears, you’ll have a solid backup plan.

In short, follow your passion and get started in bricklaying, but stay open to learning new skills and think about your long-term future too. That balanced approach will set you up well for a rewarding career!

If this is not your passion you will struggle. Follow your passion and it will lead you to your purpose. If you are asking about bricklaying it seems like you might make a large salary doing it and it's a good trade but maybe it is not a good trade for you. Follow your heart and ask yourself do you want to do this a year from now? If not find a trade you enjoy.

You are asking what career you are going to be, as if your entire human existence is defined by a single job title or a fixed destiny waiting to be discovered. Bricklaying, or any trade where you labor with your hands, is a marvelous way to engage the body, sharpen your focus, and directly shape the physical world around you. There is a deep, honest dignity in hard physical work, because when you are laying brick after brick with total attention, your mind cannot afford to wander into useless anxiety or internal noise. Do not torture yourself by worrying whether bricklaying is your absolute "destiny" compared to electrical work, plumbing, or carpentry. Right now, your body enjoys intense physical labor, so step into learning bricklaying with total involvement, absolute dedication, and continuous curiosity. If you bring complete presence and pride to mastering the craft in front of you today, you will build not only strong physical structures, but also an unshakeable internal strength and discipline that will serve you naturally, whether you lay bricks for the rest of your life or eventually evolve into new trades and ventures tomorrow.
