“I'm deciding between cybersecurity and AI/ML. I'm interested in both but want to understand the actual career prospects, skills required, and what the first 5 years typically look like. Could someone working in either field share their experience”?

Both are great choices. Cybersecurity is more about protecting systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure, while AI/ML focuses more on programming, data, math, and building intelligent systems. Since you're interested in both, try a small project in each and see which type of work you enjoy more. You can also combine them later through AI security or ML security.
