There are several things that a 12 year-old can do to make money, for example, you can cut grass for people that are less fortunate or that are elderly and can't cut their own grass.. dog sitting, and dog walking are also good activities for a 12 year-old to make money.

Kiyah, I want to share something with you. At your age, it's great to focus on school and enjoy all the fun moments you have right now. I know you're interested in making money, and there are ways to do that, like helping out with chores at home. If you get an allowance, try saving it, and watch it grow over time.
You can go to school, play sports, read, listen to music, and see your savings increase. For example, if you save $10 a month, in one year you'll have $120, and in five years, you'll have $600. If you save $20 a month, you'll have $240 in a year and $1,200 in five years. You can choose to spend a little and save the rest.
Just like plants and trees need time to grow, your savings will grow too with patience. If you want to earn more than $20 a month, talk to your parents. Maybe you can help your grandparents by mowing the lawn or raking leaves. These can be fun and safe ways to earn extra money.

Hi Kiyah - It is fantastic that you are thinking about earning money at your age! Building a saving habit early is one of the smartest things you can do.
Here are a few simple ways to start growing your money:
Save what you already get: Cut back on small daily impulse buys, like extra candy or snacks. Holding onto that money lets your savings grow automatically without taking time away from your schoolwork, sports, or hobbies.
Offer local services: If you have free time on the weekends or after school, ask family, friends, or trusted neighbors if they need help with dog walking, pet sitting, or light yard work.
Learn the basics of money: Learning how to budget and spend wisely right now builds strong habits for the future. It can even set you up for big financial goals down the road, like investing or learning how to manage money professionally.
Focus on your studies first, build smart saving habits, and pick up small side jobs only when your schedule allows!

I do surveys online. Put in the time and you can earn over $100 a month. Not much per hour for if you have the time. Paid via Paypal, gift cards, or bank transfer. In my experience, there are two that are works the best: BrandedSurveys and Survey Junkie. Both have apps.
