Is it a great idea when i choose to continue studying in fashion field for master degree after graduating in English Major?
I am currently a English second-year student at language university. After graduating, i do not want to work in teaching fields but i have wish to continue my education path for my career. Among other majors, i am interested in fashion. I want to know which international universities would be better in fashion major, is there any rules or regulations for graduated? I would like to know that there is scholarship in fashion major for graduated. How many different position are divided in fashion major? If there is not any scholarship, how much studying cost is. After graduating in fashion major, is it hard to get a job or what things need to do if it is.

Hi Yun,
I must say, I only have knowledge and experience in the United States. I can share what I know about this market. The top fashion market in the U.S. is New York City. The top fashion schools in New York are the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). They specialize in art, design, business and technology. The others are the Parsons School, marketing, business and studio design. Graduates include Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford. The other, a little less known is LIM college. They feature the business side of fashion, merchandising, marketing and management.
In my specific experience, I was a Fashion Consultant. I worked for various designers at different points in my career. I would go to the New York studio, learn the line from the designer. From there, I would sit in during market to give buyers, who represented the country and tell them what their Chicago client was looking for. Then I would go back to my market and share the information with the staff. That would include the sales staff in the department, personal shoppers, designer staff, visual staff, etc. I would advocate for best real estate with upper management, best visual position (mannequins, windows, etc.) and public relations staff for any groups they have, or ones I had contact with, to have events with these groups to meet the designer, see the clothing on the runway, etc. There were consultants in major markets in the country, so our group represented approximately eight consultants. We all had various degrees, mine in marketing, but I don't believe what I learned in college prepared me for this position.
