You will need some medical classes, child health and courses for newborns to toddlers to adolescent and teenagers like intro classes then intermediate and advanced. Probably an internship in hospitals and daycares and work in schools with the guidance counselor and school nurse. Then pick a pediatrician in your town and ask if you can be in the room for six weeks and take notes. Even go to church and observe children because you need experience in different places with children.

Great inquiry
Basically you need a medical and surgery degree..first.
So you have to be eligible to persue an MD ..I believe you have to have a good subject combination scores at your senior grade to be eligible to do a bachelor of science that will make you eligible for persue MD after completion.
MD course takes about 6 years plus 1 year internship then a residency that can take 2 to 3 years .. thereafter you can proceed for a masters specialization in pediatric and child health which can take another 3 years ,then you can proceed for licence registration to become a full pedestrian.
It's a long journey with taking indeed.
Wish you the best

In the United States, to become a pediatrician requires getting excellent grades in college so one can get into medical school. 4 years of medical school gets you your MD or DO degree, but you cannot practice medicine without completing post-graduate specialty training. For pediatrics, this is a 3-year residency (at least at this point you start earning money, rather than spending it). About half of pediatricians then go on to take fellowships to become sub-specialists (pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, etc.).
Internationally, many countries allow one to do a 6-year program to obtain both an undergraduate degree and a medical degree before doing a residency. This idea may be possible in the USA soon, as people are trying to make it a bit easier to become a physician, given we have a worsening physician shortage in our country.
