Are there marketing jobs at investment management companies?
I want to work as a social media marketer, but I don't know what if there are social media marketers at investment companies. I'd imagine everyone needs a social media marketer nowadays? #finance #marketing #financial-services #investment-management #investing #social-media #social-media-marketing
Hi Lindsay. Yes! There are many social media jobs in the financial industry. At PIMCO, we have a website, twitter account, LinkedIn company profile and many more online tools. Using social media allows us to connect with our clients (and prospective clients) on a much larger scale. Over the past few years, this has become a major focus in the financial services industry. Many firms will have dedicated social media teams within their marketing departments who focus on analytics (i.e. click rates, page opens, website usage, etc) and how to keep up with modern technology. Additionally, mobile based marketing is becoming very popular as well. Best of luck!

Absolutely! Our Communications and Marketing department is critical in helping people both internal and external to the company understand the story of our company - what we do, how we do it, and why. They use our social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) to do things like inform home buyers on mortgage options. They also create educate us on how to use social media in a way does not compromise our careers or the company.
Every company needs a social media marketer. Today we are more than ever an up to the minute information society. Having your business on social media is a must to stay relevant and connected. Consumers, competitors, and industry leaders all look at social media to find the latest information about your company. I have personally grew revenue and branding for over 6 companies by just increasing their social media presence and marketing. Fortune 500 companies, Non Profits, Small Business, and even Municipalities have used my social media marketing to enhance their worth.
Hi Lindsay, firstly are you interested in 1. Social media marketing or in 2. Investment management?
if Social Media marketing, you should'nt limit the industry scope to just investment management companies. Social media marketing like any other marketing field has diverse application and is applied in several industries.
If Investment management is what attracts you, then you should be focusing on learning Finance and take core investment management courses.
I am a marketer and I have friends who are social media marketers and Investement managers.
