There are many different ways to pursue this goal. I suggest these steps:
a.) Research the field. There are a lot of different definitions of what an international financial manager does. A good website is the government bureau of labor statistics which lists 1000s of jobs.
http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes_nat.htm#25-0000
b.) Seek a mentor who can advise you. A knowledgeable mentor is difficult to find. A key question to ask this person is whether they have worked in the field you are considering. If they have not, keep looking for a mentor. Don't settle for someone who thinks he or she knows such as a relative who intends well or worse give you bad advice.

c.) Study the websites of the colleges you are considering and call the professors in those business or finance departments to talk with them about your ambitions. You may find professors who have the experience you are looking for. Prepare yourself to take tough college courses in the field of business, accounting, finance, etc.

Keneesha: I love that you want to work in International Business! To be one of the best managers, I would recommend that you take some additional Communications classes, since international bankers/managers do quite of bit of presentations to clients. Another thing, is get all of your Series Licenses and even General Lines Producer Insurance Licenses, so when your clients are asking you about the insurance you will be able to accurately answer them instead of just referring them to ask questions to their insurance agent. Additionally, having that License does reflect very well on your resume. One other thing, a lot of banks offer internships, which would allow you to see the backside of the business. The more aspects of the business that you have will make you so more marketable.

Hope this helps and good luck to you in your future goals!!!

Keneesha,
That is an awesome and very clear goal! If your school offers them, I definitely recommend taking language courses. Being bilingual is a must to work in international business. Additionally, look into colleges that specialize in international business. My alma mater, Bryant University, is one of the top colleges in the U.S. for international business, but there are others as well.
