I am an Entergy Relay Technician and the only negative parts of the job would be there is a lot of driving involved covering such a large area and there is also a lot of paperwork. But the Pros far far outweigh the cons! Its really a great opportunity and great company!

Hello Isaac,
I work for Verizon and would recommend to anyone coming out of high school or college really. Competitive pay, great benefits like 401k and medical. Tuition reimbursement. The negative is that you will probably have a late schedule or weekend schedule for the 1st 6 months to a year but after that you will be ok.
I am also a Realtor, and as a Realtor the negative would be there is a lot of competition out there from other realtors, so you have to hustle if you want to make good money

It really depends on the area of construction. There are jobs that are all inside and then there are jobs that are just starting out of the ground.
In either case you need to be aware of the weather conditions. The temputure of the area can go from one extream to the other.
In the Electrical Field you always have the potential to be electrocuted. Some you will survive and then again you could be Killed. It really depends on how aware you are to the situation you are involved in. You have the right to refuse to work something hot, engerized. There are those who are willing to do "What ever the boss says" Don't Do it if you feel unsafe. The life you save will be your own.
Electricity is something you can't see smell or taste.
And you don't want to feel it. It's not always the voltage level that kills the most electricians. 480 volts kills the most Electricians. Never take anyone's word for the power being secured. Test it.
Enough about that.
The environment you work in is the biggest detriment to the trade. Get some schooling and you can get an Good place to work. Knowledge is Power.
