Why am i choosing Rehabilitation Technician?

For many years I saw my grandmother not being able to walk and I see others the same way and I want to be able to give them back their hope of them being able to do something for themselves. #nursing

Hi Elizabeth, we saw that your question has not been answered yet, and looked in to investigate. I think the reason you haven't gotten any responses yet is that it's not clear what you are asking. Are you asking a question? If so, could you please edit your question at https://www.careervillage.org/questions/193079/why/edit/ to make clear what you are asking?

Dr. Frank’s Answer

As a rehab technician, also known as a rehabilitation aide, you work alongside doctors and therapists, helping to further the patient's rehabilitation process in physical therapy. You may supervise physical therapy exercises, do paperwork, prepare and clean equipment, or make appointments.

Basic Education. To qualify as a physical therapy aide, you only need a high school diploma or the equivalent. There is no licensure requirement for rehab techs, and because of this, technician job duties are largely clerical. Most training will occur through on-the-job training.
