Hi!

Congratulations on you investigative spirit!

Here are two sites that will tell you much about this very interesting career area:

http://www.aafs.org/students/choosing-a-career/

http://www.bls.gov/ooh/life-physical-and-social-science/forensic-science-technicians.htm

Talk to your school counselor to see if there might be coop, intern, volunteer, or shadowing programs that will allow you to see the inside of this exciting field.

Talk to the head of alumni relations at your school to see if there might be graduates of your school working in this field whom you could visit to see what they do and where they do it.

Please keep me posted! I would like to follow your progress! Send thank you notes to those who help you. Best of luck and enjoy your journey!!

Does being a forensic science technician offer opportunities for flexible hours or part time?

From everything I've read and known about forensics, there are NO part-time careers in the field. It's total immersion.
