Let's see... To avoid college debt, perhaps get a part-time job and apply for every qualified scholarship and/or grant for free money towards. (i.e. STEM program, etc.) It helps to keep your grade point average very high and participate in a sport(s) and/or Musical/Math/Science program and/or master a foreign language(s). Example - You should talk to your guidance counselor at your high school to create a detail 4 year plan, if you are a freshman. Best wishes!

Take as many basic courses as you can in a community college that will give you transferrable credit to your main college. This will save you both time and money and along the way, it might help you narrow down your major/interest if you haven't already chosen a path.
