Good question. It can be as simple as buying things in bulk and reselling individually at a higher price; or selling your services such as delivering goods. If you are making money, then you are a business person. Companies and business people who work in businesses usually attend university and join companies such as Coca-Cola where they help the company make money. For example, I joined Coca-Cola and helped the Company to sell more Coca-Cola.in different parts of the world. Although there are many examples of successful business persons without university education, I would strong recommend you attend school and study Finance, marketing, economics or business programs. Suresh, To become a business person, you need to find a product or service that is in demand and others are looking to pay you in order to get that product or service. The choices are infinite. For example, when I was in school I was purchasing soaps from local dealer and used to sell them in my neighborhood with some profit. Many kids in my neighborhood have lemonade stalls in summer or car wash during summer break to earn some money. This is also considered business. In summary you need to purchase or create something that is lower in price and sell it with little mark up. My finance professor gave me a rule buy low and sell high.
