What type of studying strategies helped when going vet school? How can I be ahead of the competition for vet school?

I am very interested in being a veterinarian. I would like to be prepared early in my sophomore year if I can. #veterinarian #veterinary #veterinary-medicine #animal-health

Janet’s Answer

You should prepare by taking all the science and math classes that you can. You also need to be able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Volunteering at a veterinary clinic, animal shelter or other animal organization will help as well. Some veterinary clinics will hire students, usually over 16 years old, as kennel assistants, receptionists or veterinary assistants. The more (and more varied) experience that you can gain the better.

Jess’s Answer

Get good grades and see if you can get any experience working or volunteering at a vet hospital. You want to be thinking about things that will make you stand out from other applicants to Vet school. Having high grades and work experience will help you get in and maybe help you get a grant/scholarship!
