Can employers see how often I changed my major/minor?

Employers may see these changes as indecisive, and that is an undesirable trait. Especially if the majors/minors change through a broad spectrum of job areas. #college #major #majors-and-minors #employer-relations

Stuart’s Answer

Most employers will never see your college transcript. Your academic records are privileged information. In fact, as an academic counselor, I'm obliged to keep your academic records confidential from your own family. Never mind an outside party. So don't worry.

That aside, changing majors is a very standard part of most people's undergraduate degree. It doesn't mean that you're wishy washy. It means that you're using college to explore your options, which is precisely what you should be doing.

No, employers have almost no data and usually have to take your word that you even got the degree that you said you did. Of course, you should never be dishonest about the education you've received, but you have nothing to worry about in terms of employers knowing how many times you switched degrees.
