There's going to be a ton of opportunities, and a ton of different fields that you can get into depending on what you like. Don't put too much pressure on yourself as a freshman, get a feel for the classes you like and dislike and go from there. You may find it wise to meet with an academic adviser a couple of times and go visit your professor's office hours. They'll be able to give you some of the best advice you ever get, and put you in touch with people working in the field.

Hello there,

Well it all depends on what you want to pursue. Business Administration is broad, are you interested in Finance for instance, Marketing, sales..etc.
As far as i'm concerned, i was a bit confused on the whole " what do i want to do with my life", I decided then to apply for few internships to have a better idea, which helped a lot.

I got my MBA four years ago and pursued a career in sales which i enjoyed for a while prior to looking for something more challenging. I would say that you will find various job opportunities s an MBA holder. Only need to identify what sounds more interesting for you and will keep you motivated.

Good luck :)

Aaron’s Answer

Individuals pursue their MBA for a variety of reasons from a multitude of career paths, some to career switch, others to develop their business acumen or leadership capabilities, others to just have a career respite and learn about various industries and make some friends along the way. I'd encourage you to not immediate fast track your way to a business degree but like Joel mentioned, explore your options. If it's any consolation, in my MBA class, there were individuals who were previously engineers, sales, hotel managers, athletes, nurses, etc....clearly non-linear paths.

You mention that you are just enrolling in college which likely means you're very early in your professional journey. Enjoy the journey, develop who you are in college and expand your breadth of experience by taking a whole variety of courses/join a bunch of different clubs/go after internships that sound aligned with your interests/change your major a few times (or double/triple major!). The MBA will almost nearly always be a future option whereas your college years are fast approaching and will be over before you know it.
