Yes bachelors degree is mandatory, At the very first place your interest. And learn the basics well like c , c++ which is very much important, as an additional certification course, once you know the language dont forget to practice it and experiment, try building your own software subjects, read more and more books related to topics like let us C etc. lot of complanies offer internships,,,, so more number on internships you do more you explore and learn about the language.

Manar’s Answer

A github account with some demo projects (even if they are the ones you do for your classes) will come along way. Make sure to check with your school to make sure that it is okay that you put those projects on github first, however. LinkedIn is also helpful for making connections and is actually used extensively by tech recruiters, so make sure to flush out your profile!

Henry’s Answer

I have a CS degree, so I'll just answer based on my own experience.

IMO, CE might focus more on engineering and less on math than CS.

Knowing basic calculus, algebra and stats well helped me a lot in my study of CS. Regarding the coding part, reading others' code was really useful. My experience was that just reading a few programs from great programmers did not work, I read about tens of projects written on githubs and by seniors from my school.

The learn curve was steep for me, my first year learning CS was really frustrating, but after the first year, it became better and better. I hope the advice will work for you.

Hi, I suggest focusing heavily on science and math. Especially Physics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, etc. Having a solid foundation in these will go a long way in helping you be successful in a Computer Engineering curriculum in college.
