Hello Carlos,
I would suggest you do a research about cameras and which ones you think would better suit you. If you're a beginner I would suggest you find a cheaper camera but if you have been doing photography for a while and you really want a professional photography camera that will be around $4000 - $6000. The beginner cameras though cost somewhere around $1000. Hope this helps! :)

Hi carlos,

Like most things, the answer is it depends. What do you plan to do with the camera? If it is a photography hobby, there are many things that you can simply do with a device. I have seen many beautiful pictures taken on an iPhone. Some stock photography companies actually take Smartphone images for you to sell. There are many people who make a living from stock photography. Quality of the photo is one element, but other elements like in-demand subject matter can really help you earn money.

The basic talent of the photographer does not lie in the camera, but how they use the camera. So another consideration that you should think about is how you want to use your photography talent. From Marketing to portraits, there are types of cameras and lenses that are standards within the types of photography. If you go from a Smartphone to a DSLR, I would recommend that whatever brand that you use, you choose one that allows you to interchange the lenses. The base of a camera is only half of the value of the camera. Having the right lens for the right shot is often what takes a photo from good to great. All of this will require you to know what you want and research the pros and cons of camera bases and lenses. I went for a cheaper base knowing that my major investment would be in lenses over the long run. And by the way, photography is only my hobby. I have a day job where I could use my photography skills, but do not.
