If you want to do something along the lines of business as a career but are not sure, what majors should you look into?

I don't know what I want to do in line but am interested in business. #college #business #college-major

Thank you comment icon Any study in the business field would be beneficial depending on the knowledge you're looking for. In other words, do you want a broad range of studies to be more agile in the market or an aspect that is more specific. Business management degrees usually have a broad focus including classes in management, marketing, economics finance and business law. Basic knowledge in all of those areas are beneficial and then you could choose an area that speaks to you and your interestsif you wanted a more specific discipline like finance or economics. Hi Karl,

If you know you want your career to be something in business but are note sure what, I would suggest you pick a broad major such as Business, Business Administration or Management. These are the broadest business majors which give you a brief introduction to all aspects of business. For example, even as a management major, you would be required to take classes in marketing, business law, accounting and human resources. While taking these required courses you might discover that you really love one of these specialties and then you can chose to focus on one these. Even if you don't find your focus, it is fine to graduate with a degree in business, business administration or management. In this case, I would suggest you secure and entry level job in management, discover your passion then get your Master's (MBA) which will then help you specialize and command an even higher salary. Often if you work for a few years after college, you can get into an even better graduate school than if you went straight from college.

Good Luck!

Natalie
