Hi Sulani this is a great question, studying these topics are tricky. I also agree with the other answers; Flashcards do work good.
I also utilized another method that worked BEST for me. I hung up a white board, a big one! I would go over and over the information
I would start at the beginning, and then create a brainstorm map to help assist with the UNDERSTANDING.
If there are specific items that you are struggling with, and would like some mentoring please let me know!!
Take care

All of the above answers include great study modalities. For me, I know that I am an auditory learner and I used my text books a lot. Generally, if I hear something I can remember it, so I read my text books and notes out loud to myself, or on a recorder and listened to it a few times.
The other thing to think about is making the time to study uninterrupted. For me, this meant setting a timer for 30 minutes and removing all distractionfor that time frame and really focusing. Once that timer went off, I could give myself a break, for 10 minutes, so I could move around, look at my phone, do the dishes, or whatever needed done. Then that task would be out of my mind, then I could focus for another 30 minutes. Doing this broke up the monotony of those long study sessions and helped me to focus which increased my ability to retain information. I used this tactic all the way through my MSN and NP school and was very successful.

Flash cards are nice but some people did quizlet app and really liked it. I personally liked to record the lectures and supplement my notes from them and having a study buddy or a study group.
