ANTHONY’s Answer

To me the hardest part is transitioning from student nurse practitioner to nurse practitioner. Now you are now in real life, and you are expected to give quality care to your patients. As new nurse practitioner, this can be overwhelming until you are able to build your experience which brings confidence. So, taking your clinical rotations seriously will help you.

I hope this help you. Good luck.

Christina’s Answer

I have to agree with Anthony's answer. The transition from following orders/care plans that other providers have created ....to being the one who is responsible.... to interrogate a patient, assemble all of the information you have collected, and create a comprehensive approach to the patient's care ....is huge. Just remember that you are not operating in a vacuum. Always ask or consult with a colleague if you have any doubt or question about how to proceed. If people can trust you to know what you don't know, and ask for help, you will become a great provider. With experience and continued learning comes excellence.
It's a wonderful, challenging, and rewarding profession!

Enjoy!
