How do I know I'm in the right program?

Hi Tarren! This is a great question that a lot of people ask themselves in college. I was an accounting major in college and after my first semester I stopped to ask myself these questions.

1. Do I enjoy learning about this?
2. Could I see myself working in this field?
3. What kinds of jobs would I ideally want to get with this degree?

If you are not able to answer these questions, then I would try one of two things. First, if you really dislike the program and you do not enjoy what you are doing, then I would try something else. To test the waters, you can try taking an elective class in another field that interests you. If you are still on the fence, then I would recommend trying to get an internship in that job area. I have found that it is best to try something out before changing your mind.

At the end of the day, I highly recommend choosing a career path that interests and challenges you. Your career will last longer than college, you might as well spend it doing something you enjoy.
