What is the best way for me to start my career as a mortician?

I have applied for mortuary school, but don't know where to go from there.

I would suggest that before you make your mind up on this that you talk to your teacher or school counselor about doing a job shadow so you can see all that this entails. If you are set on this then line up courses in high school in the biology/sciences area to start learning that pathway. You may be able to work for a funeral home and get some help paying for certifications, etc. for this field. Best to you!
