If I major in research and experimental psychology would I be able to create psychological programs (international, local, etc.)?

I was told I could be able to create psychological programs, for example a program for children suffering from ptsd, but was not told specifically what to study or how to do so. I would truly like to have this a future career option and would like to know how I would be able to achieve it. #psychology #college-major #career #mental-health-counseling

That sounds to me like a masters program, however it would be best to have a conversation with the dean of that field/department and ask these questions.

You will need at least a masters degree and licensing to create such a program. I suggest looking into programs for School Psychology (there are both masters and doctoral level programs) OR The Licensed Professional Counselor credential. Go to the American Counseling Association's website for more information about The LPC credential.

Good luck!
