Is there a way I can make money making videos online and how would I go about doing that?
I really like making videos because it brings out my creativity but I don't know if it would be financially sustainable.

Hi there,
Absolutely, you can make money by creating videos online, especially if you love doing it. Just keep in mind that it might take a little time to turn it into a steady income.
Here are some ways to earn from video creation:
- Make content on YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram and earn through ads, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing.
- Offer video editing services to businesses, content creators, or organizations.
- Create promotional, educational, or social media videos for clients.
- Sell video templates, stock footage, or digital products.
I suggest starting with a portfolio focused on content you enjoy. Post regularly, learn video editing tools, and share your work on social media. You can also try freelancing or editing videos for others to earn money while growing your audience.
The great thing is that creativity is a valuable skill. Even if it takes time to become a full-time content creator, your video skills can open doors in marketing, social media management, content creation, and freelance editing.
My main advice: treat it as both a fun hobby and a skill you can earn from. Start creating, build a portfolio, and explore what kind of video work you love most. You don't have to quit everything else to see if it can become a career.

Great question and the answer is yes. Even though there are plenty of big companies that make videos and supposedly AI videos. There is still plenty of work. I do video work myself and it’s slowly replaced my entire income. I’ve found that people want a full package video maker the most. I’ve seen lots of smaller businesses struggle because they just wanted two videos of their small business and larger video companies will only quote you at 2k minimum and using cheap contractors on fiverr tend to be random people who only do one thing and won’t accommodate your other random requests. By the end, you’ve hired like five people on fiverr to finally get one video done and then it’s still choppy. I find the large majority of my business in pricing for those emerging businesses that can’t afford huge video contracts but still need to get content out there and I also find opportunities in people who have large followings on YouTube and tons of content but could use a “facelift” on their YouTube channel. I go in and give them new, branded, opening and ending slides to all their videos, reorganize their channels, etc. I also do LinkedIn awareness campaigns, doing online or in person interviews talking about certain industries, and editing, packaging, and launching the videos. One stop shop. I think skills that have made me successful is I came to understand marketing, branding, and social media a lot more. People want a video that not only gets their point out but also represents them with their company colors and logo and a unique style that makes the video a part of them.
