Embarking on a business venture can be challenging, but rest assured, you're doing great! It's essential to understand your competitors, evaluate their pricing, and also consider the time you invest in each product. Despite the initial fear, it's beneficial to venture into social media platforms like TikTok or Instagram. These platforms will help you establish your brand and promote your Etsy page effectively.

Hi Najela,

Great question and love thinking/brainstorming around topics such as this. ETSY definitely appears to well branded for smaller art-driven business owners, and is the first site that comes to mind when thinking of unique and/or more creative pieces of art such as what you are making/discussing. Essentially, ETSY appears to own the niche market and as a result; how do you get your bracelets purchased at the value/level you desire.

Much of this topic is very business 101 in functionality & strategy, such as pricing compared to quantity, value of your brand/bracelets in comparison to asking price as well as number sold, the amount of time/labor you are willing to invest (quantity vs. quality/uniqueness), how much to invest in your own brand/likeness/logo/slogan, but ultimately it is most likely the number of 'hits' to your supplied product. Etsy appears to do a solid job of coaching your through the process, providing tips, metrics for monitoring site/page views, and even has ETSY awards to promote emerging artists.

I would simply set up an account, start promoting your bracelets with photos, focus on key search engine words as well as possible hashtags, and learn to an extent through the process. There has to be groups as well as mentors you could reach out to discuss how to improve the visibility of your brand, and to possibly co-brand together. Get some of your best bracelets photographed and up on ETSY, start connecting with other vendors, market on Instagram as well, and follow and join other similar artists on various social media platforms. Lastly; with the metrics presented use them to assess and implement changes to your offering.

Who is the customer you are trying to reach (demographics, style, seasonality, & most importantly; what separates or provides the value/uniqueness to your brand? Pricing is something I would frequently monitor as you do not want to price yourself too low as it could devalue what you are supplying. Last random thought; instill a few core values/characteristics of your brand throughout all that you do. I am thinking uniqueness, identity, & something personal/cultural to who you are. Hope this helps!
