What do you do at the end of an internship?

Hi, I am a high school senior in a finance internship(since February) and I have about nine days left. I know to say thank you to everyone and ask my supervisors if they can connect me to anyone but is there anything else that I should do since my time here is ending?

Laura’s Answer

Ask if you can be friends on Linked In. This way it is easy for them to send you along any job openings and industry related info that might be helpful to you. This will also allow them to send your info along to any industry recruiters they are in contact with.

Abhishek’s Answer

Ask for internship completion certificate, letter of Recommendation and try to build connections at your work place. One more thing you can do is ask for endorsement of the skills which you have listed on your LinkedIn profile, if you have one.
Hope it helps.

Hi Ivana! Great question! I definitely the earlier comments. Especially if you enjoyed the internship and the people you work with, it is always a great idea to connect on LinkedIn and also exchange contact information on email! You can always also reach out to your supervisors further down the road to share updates - how you've been doing in school, for example!

Kelsey’s Answer

Hi! I would also recommend connecting with a Campus Recruiter so that when they open more intern roles or full time roles, you have a relationship already built. The Recruiter will be able to provide you updates on when the roles will post, what the interview process will look like, salary insight, etc.
