What kind of restaurants do any of you want to take to start your cooking career?

I had started my cooking career at SBH where I made salmon with pineapple for the first time and then when my cooking career was over in August 2022 I started a cooking career in my high school in September.

Yves’s Answer

I suggest you kick-start your journey in a place where the cuisine makes your heart sing, perhaps a restaurant you've visited and enjoyed before, or even one that's always been on your wish list.

Embarking on a career in a restaurant kitchen is no piece of cake. It's a role that tests you both physically and mentally. However, having a passion for the food, admiration for the Chef, or a soft spot for the place itself can fuel your drive, helping you to persist, grow, and acquire new skills.

Tara’s Answer

FOUR FANTASTIC RESTAURANTS TO BEGIN YOUR CHEF JOURNEY
1. John Fraser - This renowned chef offers a special table at any of his eateries for hospitality industry members to enjoy a meal at a significant discount. The aim: to foster unity and friendship.

2. The Wee Chippy - Originating from a small beachside store in California, Scottish-born Joe Gorrie gained a devoted fanbase with his unique take on fries. Now, he's looking to expand through franchising.

3. Firehouse Subs - This popular sub chain has opened its first location outside North America, in Zurich. Additionally, they have a development agreement in Mexico, marking the brand's first significant ventures into international markets under Restaurant Brands International.

4. Starbucks - The coffee powerhouse is establishing a lab in Costa Rica, close to its research and development headquarters. This facility is designed to help create sustainable production practices.

When embarking on your chef career, don't hesitate to explore various restaurants featuring diverse food styles and cultures. This will equip you with valuable skills to enhance your resume. Always opt for establishments known for excellent customer and employee relationships. I began my journey at McDonald's and have since worked at Hardee's, Burger King, Waffle House, Shoney's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Western Sizzler, Subway, Mi Casitas, and many more. Absorb all the knowledge you can while discovering your own creative flair for crafting delectable dishes.
