What study habits should I add and how do I stay motivated?

What should my first step be to create better study habits, while going into the new year? How can I stay motivated this year? Junior year is crazy I heard so I am a bit nervous.

Well I discovered this study habit later in my years while studying for a welding inspection exam. When studying or reading, people tend to glaze over and not fully comprehend each word that is written. So I began to read and when I came across a word that I could not use in a sentence correctly, I would look it up and made sure a understand that word and what the author is trying to portray in their writing. Once I understood I would repeat the process throughout the study material or book. By adapting this technique I was able to understand clearly what I was studying. I understood every terminology and every calculation in that material. This not only improves your study habits but also pushes you to research related terms to your subject of study. Try it! Studying is like a chain with links, imagine that you miss one key word while reading. That chain is broken because from that point on that word will not be fully understood. Like in math! You add and subtract, then you can learn division. But if you don’t know how to subtract for instance…you cannot divide😁 understanding will give you motivation to study and good grades
